ClipGrow ("ClipGrow", "we", "us") operates the website clipgrow.in, a performance-based clipping platform that connects creators ("Clippers") with brands ("Clients"). Clippers post short videos on their own social media accounts, and ClipGrow measures the views those videos receive in order to calculate what each Clipper is paid.
This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and how you can have it deleted. It applies to everyone who uses clipgrow.in, including Clippers, Clients, and visitors.
The short version. We collect the minimum needed to count your views and pay you: your login, your connected social account, and public performance statistics about the specific videos you submit to a campaign. We never read your private messages, we never post anything on your behalf, we do not sell your data to anyone, and you can disconnect an account or delete your ClipGrow account at any time.
ClipGrow is operated from Kerala, India, and serves Clippers and Clients across India.
You can use either channel for any question about this policy, to request a copy of your data, or to request deletion. We aim to respond within 7 days, and we act on deletion requests within 7 days of receiving them.
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Username and password | To create and secure your account. Passwords are never stored in readable form — we store only a salted cryptographic hash, which cannot be reversed back into your password. |
| Display name | To identify you in your dashboard and on our internal payout records. |
| Your social media handle (Instagram username, or the Google account email that owns your YouTube channel) | To confirm which account you intend to post from, and — while our apps are still in Meta and Google review — to add that exact account to the platforms' approved tester lists so you are able to connect at all. |
| Links to videos you submit | These are the specific videos you are asking us to track and pay you for. |
| Payout details you send us (for example a UPI reference) | To pay you. We record the amount paid, the method, and a payment reference against your account so both sides have an accurate history. |
| For Clients: company name and contact name | To operate your campaign and give you a login to your campaign dashboard. |
If you choose to connect an Instagram Professional (Business or Creator) account, we use the Instagram API with Instagram Login. You are shown Instagram's own permission screen, and you must approve it before we receive anything. We request exactly two permissions and no others:
instagram_business_basic — gives us your Instagram account's ID, username, account type, and the list of media you have posted, so we can find the videos you submitted to a campaign.instagram_business_manage_insights — gives us the view count and related performance statistics for those media, which is the number your payout is calculated from.We also receive and store an access token, which is the credential that lets us make those requests on your behalf until you disconnect or it expires.
If you choose to connect a YouTube channel, ClipGrow uses YouTube API Services. You are shown Google's own permission screen and must approve it before we receive anything. We request a single, read-only scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly — lets us read your channel's ID and title, the list of videos on your channel, and each video's public statistics (primarily the view count) and basic details such as its duration and publish time. This scope is read-only. It does not allow us to upload, edit, delete, or hide anything on your channel, and it does not give us access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google product. We also store the OAuth access and refresh tokens Google issues, which are what let us refresh view counts without asking you to sign in again every hour.
Required YouTube disclosures. By connecting a YouTube channel to ClipGrow you are also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of the data it receives is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke ClipGrow's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We use your data only for the following purposes:
We do not use your data to train machine-learning models, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with data brokers, advertisers, or any party for their own marketing.
A Client whose campaign you have joined can see the videos submitted to their campaign and the performance of those videos — the video link, its thumbnail, and its view count. They can see which social account posted it, because that is inherently public information attached to the post itself.
Clients cannot see your ClipGrow login, your payout amounts or payment history, your earnings, your contact details, or anything about videos you posted for a different campaign or outside ClipGrow entirely.
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts the website, the database, and the stored thumbnail images, and delivers all traffic. Data is processed on Cloudflare's global network. |
| Meta Platforms, Inc. | Source of Instagram account and media-insights data, only for accounts you have explicitly connected. |
| Google LLC / YouTube | Source of YouTube channel and video statistics data, only for channels you have explicitly connected. |
We may disclose data if we are required to by law, a court order, or a valid request from a public authority, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Instagram and YouTube access tokens | Deleted immediately when you disconnect the account, delete your ClipGrow account, or revoke access on the platform's own settings page. |
| Video statistics for videos still being tracked | Kept and refreshed while the video is active in a campaign, so your earnings stay accurate. Deleted on request or on account deletion. |
| Records of videos that have already been paid out | Retained as part of our financial records, because they are the evidence of what we owed and paid you. On a deletion request these are anonymised — the payout amount and date are kept for accounting, and the link to you as an identifiable person is removed. |
| Account details (username, display name, handle) | Kept for as long as your account exists. Deleted within 7 days of a deletion request. |
| Server logs | Retained by Cloudflare under their standard retention periods. |
You can disconnect any connected Instagram account or YouTube channel from your ClipGrow dashboard at any time. When you do, we delete the stored tokens for that account and stop collecting any further data from it. For YouTube, we additionally send a revocation request to Google so the authorisation is withdrawn on Google's side too, not just ours.
Revoking on the platform immediately stops any further data reaching us. To also have the data we already hold erased, send us a deletion request as described below.
You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete it entirely. Full instructions are on our Data Deletion page. We act on deletion requests within 7 days.
Deleting your data ends your ability to be paid for views we can no longer evidence, so if you have unpaid earnings we will tell you the amount before we proceed.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users without undue delay.
ClipGrow operates from India. Our hosting provider and the platform APIs we use are global services, so your data may be processed on servers outside India. We rely on those providers' own contractual and technical safeguards for such transfers.
If we change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you directly through your dashboard or on WhatsApp before it takes effect.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first at support@clipgrow.in — we would much rather fix it directly. You also retain any right you have under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to escalate the matter to the relevant authority.
